7 Simple Ways to Organize Your Daily Life

As a Work at Home Mom, you can easily become overwhelmed with daily life and responsibilities. Here are 7 simple ways that you can begin today to organize your daily life.


1. Know Where You Are & Where You Want to Go in Each Area of Your Daily Life!
There are 8 areas that mingle, intertwine and combine together to form your daily life.
These 8 areas and the brief descriptions are below:

Self - Your beliefs, morals, values, your spirituality and your relationship with you.

Support System - Those people who give support to you and receive support from you.

Work - Your business, career or job, including raising your children.

Money - Your earning, savings and spending habits.

Hobbies & Fun - What you do to relax, refuel & recharge.

Health & Beauty - How you take care of your body, inside and out.

Love - Your most intimate relationship.

Home - Your living environment, everyone & everything in it.


Knowing where you are in each of these 8 areas is the first step to organizing your daily life. 2. Create a Plan to Get What You Want!

Formally this is called, Goal Setting, simply put, you need to decide exactly what it is you need to do to get what you want in each area of your daily life. Clarifying the specific actions you need to take to get what you want helps you to stay organized with your priorities. Analyze the descriptions of what you want in each area of your daily life and create a list of the specific actions you must take to make it happen. Focus on improving those areas that need the most work! You will find that improving this area will positively effect the other 7 areas.

3. Remove What Isn’t Working for You!

The quickest and simplest way to organize your daily life is to remove the things in your daily life that aren’t working for you. Clutter and disorganization, broken items and time wasting tasks are all examples of items that keep you living in chaos and unhappiness. These items only stress you out and wear you down. Create a list of those things in your daily life that aren’t working for you and begin to remove these items from your daily life. It is as simple as that!

4. Create a Positive, Uplifting Support System!

With a positive, uplifting support system you can accomplish anything. Surrounding yourself with people who have your best interest at heart is an important part in maintaining an organized daily life. Negative people hold you back, while positive people lift you higher than you could ever reach on your own. By leaning on the supportive people in your daily life you will feel less stressed, more organized and happier! Start by recognizing the supportive people in your life, how they support you. Next, take some time to think about how you can acknowledge their support. By acknowledging their support you will ensure that you continue to receive their valuable support and encouragement.

5. Manage Your Daily Stress!

Daily stress has a huge effect on your body, mind and spirit. Letting this daily stress build up will also have a negative effect on all 8 areas of your daily life, creating chaos and disorganization. Being aware of what stresses you out and being proactive in handling these daily situations will help you to stay organized and live an enjoyable daily life. Begin by recognizing what situations in your daily life stress you out. Next, decide what you can do to be proactive in dealing with these situations so they don’t continue to have a negative effect on your daily life.

6. Manage Your Time!

Time is often wasted on tasks that are done to only to please other people, people pleasing only leaves you feeling resentful and angry. Time is also wasted on activities that are not in line with your priorities. When you are managing your time effectively you are focused on completing the tasks necessary to achieve your goals. Start each and every single day by taking a few minutes to decide what it is you want and need to accomplish that day. Designate all tasks, to either be completed, delegated to someone else or if necessary, deleted! Effectively managing your time will help you to keep your daily life organized.

7. Track Your Progress!

Keeping in touch with your progress will help you to understand what is going well for you and why. This will help you to continue to do those things that are working for you so you will make progress. Tracking your progress also helps you to realize what isn’t working out for you and why. This will help you to quickly make changes so you can start seeing progress. Check in with yourself each week to ensure that you are on track with your goals and making constant and steady progress. This will keep you living an organized and enjoyable daily life!

By starting to incorporate these 7 simple ways to organize your daily life you will begin to notice things becoming and staying more organized. Living an organized daily life is the key to enjoying your daily life!
